this is not
my america
my america is soft
out of focus, full
of growling women, full of
mothers and
daughters
sisters & prophets
who scream
on command
who never forget
the sound of their
collected voice
who rip though walls
of sadness
and heartbreak
and one million tiny deaths
and breathe
life
into
what was
once dead

who never shut up
who never stop
who remeber what it was
to live by the gut
to love from the hip
to recreate to rebuild
the flesh of such
a rotten & decaying
world.

Becky, I cannot express the effect your words have on me. I read this aloud to myself in a whisper, and the emotion of it overcame me. You are truly magical. I am so glad you are still updating!! Your new artwork is astounding.
So much love,
-Val

Thanks Val for reading & responding. I haven't been writing much but every now & then I jot something down. Your words have always encouraged me. And most of that is because I admire your work so completely. Thanks. I hope everything is going great in your life.
